Earlier today we got the news of Super Smash Bros coming to the Nintendo Switch in 2018. In the trailer we see what appears to be an ad for Splatoon, one of Nintendo’s newer initial properties, with two of the Inklings – a Blue and a Orange one – fighting each other until one is running off to the distance and it goes dark, and we see a slight burning light and then we see in the eye of the Orange Inkling the Super Smash Bros symbol.
We see a Breath of the Wild Link from the Legend of Zelda, and Mario, and other people on the roster who we couldn’t make out in the distance, and see the burning symbol. And – cut to white with the words Super Smash Bros popping up and then 2018.
Hopefully, this is a new game in the series, but my guess is it is going to be the 3DS and Wii U version, but beefed up a bit in terms of graphics. Hopefully, the roster will get more added to it; maybe we will see the robot from Chibi Robo in it, or Rayman, or maybe Professor Layton. Well, it just goes to show that Nintendo still listens to the fan base.
