Nintendo released some Pokémon-related news tonight, and Nerds4LifeBlog has got all of the info for you below…
- The Wii U’s Pokémon-styled brawler is coming to Nintendo Switch! Pokkén Tournament DX is the definitive version of the game, adding five more fighters (Darkrai, Scizor, Empoleon, Croagunk and Decidueye). It also introduces 3 vs. 3 team battles, online ranked matches and friend-only group matches. It should be releasing later this year (announced for September 22nd, but international dates are still unconfirmed).
- Two new titles are hitting the Nintendo 3DS (Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon), introducing more Pokémon not previously available in the original versions. The global release for these titles is slated for a global release on November 17th.
- The super-popular second-generation titles, Pokémon Gold and Pokémon Silver, are getting the Virtual Console treatment, and are both compatible with the Pokémon Bank application. It has been announced for a simultaneous release date with Pokkén Tournament, but we are still awaiting confirmation on international dates.
We will announce more news as it becomes available. Keep your eyes peeled so you can (pardon the pun) catch it all!
