Its publisher Bandai Namco estimates that it and its two sequels have sold more then 9 million copies. The remastered version will be released on 25 May with “improved framerate and resolution”, according to Nintendo. It will also be available on the Playstation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Software first released this game back in late 2011, where it took an influential look at storytelling meaning the community of this title had to piece the backstory together from hints in the video game. Many players are even able to play together which maintains the community still playing for years later. Bandai Namco will release the remastered version with improved framerate as well as resolution. It also includes the Artorias of the Abyss downloadable content from the go. It will also be available for other consoles such as the Playstation 4, Xbox One, and PC. This will be the first time an installment from the Souls series will come to a Nintendo console.
