It was only two weeks ago when we were given our first glimpse of the upcoming Dragon Ball Super movie, however, it seems as if we have already been given another glimpse. We know from the trailer that was released for the film that Goku will be facing off against a new Saiyan, which has an aura that is very similar to the Legendary Super Saiyan form.
Now, we don’t know much else about this mysterious character for sure but we do know that the film will showcase a number of new Saiyans that we have never seen before. This is because the upcoming film all about the Saiyan race and the origins of the Saiyan transformations, which means that the first Super Saiyan and Super Saiyan God in Yamoshi will be in the movie.
However, we believe that new Saiyan in the trailer is not Yamoshi and is, in fact, the Legendary Super Saiyan of Universe 7, who may have killed Yamoshi all those years ago. Akira Toriyama himself confirmed that the Legendary Super Saiyan and the first Super Saiyan God/Super Saiyan were two different people.
In addition, Yamoshi was killed while trying to eradicate all the evil Saiyans. Being a Super Saiyan God, it would have taken someone incredibly strong to defeat him, which is why introducing the first Legendary Super Saiyan makes sense.
Anyway, this is all still nothing but speculation, however, something that isn’t speculation is the new key image that has been released for the film on Twitter.

As you can see from the tweet, Goku is ready to fight the new Saiyan in the same environment the trailer was set in. In addition, Goku is holing his famous Power Pole, which we haven’t seen utilised in the series for quite a long time and it’s an indication that the Power Pole might play a big role in the film somehow.
