Fairy Tail Creator Hiro Mashima Reveals Gray & Juvia’s Child

Juvia and Gray

Fairy Tail fans were crushed this year when they discovered that the creator of the series Hiro Mashima was ending the long franchise. However, since the manga ended earlier this year, Mashima hasn’t stopped working on his beloved characters from the Fairy Tail franchise. In recent time the manga illustrator has released a number of new sketches on Twitter, showcasing never before seen drawings of his creation. Most recently Mashima released a sketch of his drawing the child of Juvia and Gray, something fans were never given in the series.

Remember, Mashima ended the series in such a way that anyone could take it up again. What I mean by this is that Mashima left the ending open so that the story can be easily continued in the future. That means that someday it might be possible to see Natsu and his friends return, as the Dragon Ball Super franchise has successfully returned after such a long time.

If someone does take up the series again or even if Mashima has a change of heart in the future and missed his work, then at least the design of Juvia and Gray’s child exists. That means one day maybe, fans might see this character animated in the future.

If you are unfamiliar with Fairy Tail then you can check out Kodansha Comics’ summary of the series below:

“Cute girl wizard Lucy wants to join the Fairy Tail, a club for the most powerful wizards. But instead, her ambitions land her in the clutches of a gang of unsavory pirates led by a devious magician. Her only hope is Natsu, a strange boy she happens to meet on her travels. Natsu’s not your typical hero—he gets motion sickness, eats like a pig, and his best friend is a talking cat. With friends like this, is Lucy better off with her enemies?”
