Hatake Kakashi is easily one of the most loved characters in the Naruto/Boruto series, as well as one of the strongest however, was he good enough for the Akatsuki?

Now before we begin, this is a massive what if, where we must imagine that through all of Kakashi’s early struggles he turned evil and went rouge.

Think about it, Kakashi had many reasons to go rouge such as him holding a grudge against the village for not protecting his friends or the death of his father, which could have caused him to plot against Konoha.

Kakashi’s father Sakumo, was a legendary ninja known worldwide as White Fang from the Leaf, with his skills said to surpass all the Three Legendary Sannin.

Sakumo however, did not die a hero’s death, as he decided to save his comrades from a dangerous mission, which resulted in an attack on Konoha.

As a result the village hated him, even the ninja’s he saved resented him, which caused Sakumo to commit suicide. Although, Sakumo’s fall from grace wasn’t over, as he was buried without a tomb stone separately from the other fallen ninjas. After that Kakashi lost Obito and Rin during battle with no help from the village, which caused Kakashi to be quite cold, depressed and dark enough to join the ANBU.
