Ratchet and Clank Collection Part 2: Going Commando

Ratchet and Clank Collection Part 2: Going Commando Ratchet and Clank Collection Part 2: Going Commando

After finishing the first Ratchet and Clank game, I thought that I should then try out the rest of the collection on the VITA, with the second game in the series “Going Comando” being next.
This game is continuing about one year after the first game was set, Ratchet and Clank being interviewed  about how the world doesn’t need a hero right now.
Over in the next galaxy, Megatron Corporations CEO sees the two on his tv and asks that they are brought to him, so they can help find something fro him.

He then offers to give Ratchet and Clank a lot of money and a fancy apartment in exchange for helping him with this, which they humbly excepted.
Now the humour in this game is just as good as the first one if not better, with Ratchets new voice actor James Arnold Taylor, doing an incredible job.

Obviously there were some differences in comparison to the first game, for example the heath bar in the first game could only go up to 8 hits however, now in the second it’s on a levelling system were you gain experience from beating your enemies.

This system also applies to almost all your weapons in this game and boy there are a lot of new weapon, such as a ninja star thrower, a plasma shield  and a bunch of little robots that also protect you.
There are some more Clank bits in the game but not as much as there were in the first one, as
there is a larger more of a emphasis on dog-fights, with you being able to upgrade your ship.
All of this was great however, this was easily the hardest Ratchet and Clank game from the original 4 and there are a lot of bugs while playing on the VITA.

For example the hand glider in this game handles like a paper plane however despite this, Ratchet and Clank 2: Going Commando is still a great game.

I give the game a 71/100
