So about 2 weeks ago I finished Code Geass and I finished it feeling satisfied but at the same time fearful, of the recently announced of season 3.
Code geass starts off with Lulush (the main character) watching as Japan received a great reminder that they live in fear of Britain, as Japan has been invaded by the European giant.
Lulush is your typical everyday teenager who goes around and plays chess for money to ease his boredom, whilst looking after his now disabled sister Namali, which actually doesn’t sound too much like an everyday teenager anymore.
In a crazy turn of events Lulush gets the power of Geass, a strength that allows you to have complete control over anyone he makes direct eye-contact with.
He later embarks on his journey to take over Britannia and make a better world for his sister, whilst making sure he gets his next pizza for free.
There are mechanical beings called Knightmare Frames, which have weird yet cool abilities however, are basically Gundams. With most of the first season focus’s on Lulush being an Anime batman and fighting for the people of Japan.
The show also has this weird way of shifting from a serious show to a high school comedy, while the animation is also visually appealing and grabs your attention.
But for some strange reason I continued to wonder why everyone looks so much like Yu-Gi-Oh! characters.
All in all I did enjoy this anime but the second season did feel a bit stale at times however, it finished on a good note.
Code Geass will be returning with season three sometime this year and has been reported to be airing roughly around the time of the series 10 year anniversary.
