My Thoughts About Ajin

Hello everyone and welcome to my first article!

As I was thinking about what to write, it was Ajin that instantly came to my mind.

This was an anime that premiered in Winter 2016, lots of people skipping it because of the so called “bad” CGI (which in my opinion doesn’t look bad at all)

For me, it was one of those anime’s that you had to binge-watch, because it was THAT addictive.

I found Ajin while I was searching through Netflix, for a decent anime to watch. I was sceptical at first, but after I finished the first episode, I couldn’t help but think about it 24/7.

So basically, the story is about Kei Nagai, a 17-year-old boy who discovers that he is an Ajin (immortal). The government wants to capture him and he has no other choice, but to escape with his childhood friend Kaito.

I don’t want to focus on the plot, as I would rather you learn more about this incredible story yourselves, so lets talk about the music and animation.

The opening song Yoru wa Nemureru kai? is really catchy and the animation was 3D, but it still suited the atmosphere of the series. 3D animation doesn’t equal bad anime (except in the case of Aku no Hana. That anime sucks, haha)

So, I suggest you watch Ajin: Demi Human if you haven’t already. As I said before, you can watch it on Netflix. It has 2 seasons (26 episodes total) and it has an X-men vibe to it, so give it a chance.

  1. It was really hard for me to get passed the animation, so I stopped before the end of the first episode. Maybe I’ll give it another shot, if you say it’s good…
