In recent days we have started to see rumours reporting a massive twist in the Hunter x Hunter hiatus, which was due to the poor health of writer and illustrator Yoshihiro Togashi, with some publications reporting that chapter 361 is being cancelled.
Now instead of reports about Togashi’s health improving and an apparent deadline for chapter 361, which we have been getting for months now, publications like the Christian Post, Counsel & Heal and Travelers Today are begging to spread this new rumour.
However, after reading each and every article it seems as this is just a rumour, as all publications give little evidence to support these accusations.
Instead each publication gave the same information that they have been giving us for months, Togashi was seen at an anime and manga convention last year, rumours about his wife finishing his work and a chapter deadline.
For those who are unaware, many publications including these ones mentioned above, have spent the past few months stating that there was an apparent deadline given to Togashi, for his work to be completed by February this year.
However, we have never been given this information officially and it is halfway through March, with still no further official information provided.
The Counsel Heal even went to the point of stating that “Chapter 361’s cancellation seems to be almost conformed” however, there was little evidence provided as to where this allegation came from later in the piece.
The previous chapter before the hiatus gave fans a lot of unanswered questions, which has caused a lot of frustration from its fans, over the fact we have received very little official information about any possible return.
So lets not add to these frustrations, as for the moment it seems as if this new rumour about the cancellation of chapter 361 is just a rumour and therefore, in my opinion fans shouldn’t worry too much about it just yet.
