So everyone has been going absolutely crazy for a while over this upcoming multi-universe tournament due to rumors of Gohan, Krillin and Piccolo training, to be better than ever plus Android 17 will be appearing for the first time since Cell.

But now fans are more excited than than ever before, after watching glimpses of what appears to be a female legendary Super Saiyan.

From the sneak peak in the preview for Dragon Ball Super episode 76, the mysterious female once transformed, looks a lot like a familiar popular movie villain, Broly.

However, unlike Broly it is yet to be confirmed which universe she comes from, or even if she is evil similar to Broly, or if she is in fact a hero fighting the evil in her universe.

But one question that has been raised ever since seeing her is, does this mean Broly becomes canon?

The answer is simple, no. This is because Broly is not the one who has been brought into the series,.

But as we don’t know the origins of this mysterious female Saiyan as of yet, we don’t know if she is or isn’t related somehow to Broly either.

However,  in my opinion it is unlikely that she will be related somehow to Broly but at the same time we shouldn’t throw away the idea that she could be a relative of Brolly, and why would we want to? Broly is awesome.

However, even though this new unknown characters legendary transformation does mean that the Legendary Super Saiyan’s transformation concept is now canon, it’s just not Broly sadly at this stage is still not canon and it is unlikely that he ever will be canon; as the movies (mainly the Bio Broly movie) don’t exactly fit well in the canon stories timeline.

They could just forget about the Bio Broly movie if they were to try and make him canon, but if they wanted that then they would have introduced Broly, and not this new female character.

So for now what we do know is that this new female Saiyan will be the first woman to transform into any version of a Super Saiyan, and no Videl doesn’t count.

Lastly if she is as strong as Broly the Saiyan of legend, then just like him, she is going to be awesome and not going to be easily beaten.
