Almost ten years ago, Dwayne Johnson told the world that he would take part in the DC Comics antihero Black Adam’s movie, however since then, there hasn’t been much mentioned of the production.

Well that’s until now, as Johnson posted an image on Instagram this week, of him having a meeting with DC Films, about a potential role as Black Adam.

According to The Hollywood Reporter and Comicbook.com, Johnson is in discussion s with DC Films about staring as Black Adam in not only a solo movie, but also in the upcoming Shazam! Project as the main villain.

For those who don’t know much about Black Adam, he is an Egyptian man given magical powers from a wizard, only to have his new found powers corrupt him. Originally being introduced in 1945, Adam has become more of an antihero in recent years, willing to protect his people and loved ones.

Black Adam is also one of the main foes of Captain Marvel, with incredible abilities that puts him in a league to rival Superman, a pretty appropriate role for someone of Dwayne Johnson’s size.

For the moment there is no official release about who will be the screen writer for the Black Adam movie however, Shazam! Is reportedly being worked on by Henry Gayden.

Shazam! Was initially scheduled to premiere in April 2019, but at the moment many publications believe this may be delayed.

Either way get excited DC fans, because we may be seeing Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, as a main villain in a DC movie very soon.
