Ever since One Punch Man burst onto the scene last year fans have fallen in love with the bald hero named Saitama. In addition, One Piece is currently one of the biggest anime franchises in the world, with the series this year celebrating its 20th Anniversary.
Therefore, it’s no wonder why One Piece creator Yusuke Murata, is such a big fan of the series. Murata has taken a great deal of inspiration from One Piece, as well as the Dragon Ball franchise, which a number of Shonen manga illustrators have done.
That is why Murata has for a while now, drawn multiple characters from both popular series’. In the past, Murata released images of some of his favourite Dragon Ball characters, however, now the manga illustrator has released his version of another one of his favourite characters but this time from a rival anime.
Murata has now recently released an image of his version of the future Pirate King Monkey D. Luffy, the captain of the Straw Hat Pirates from One Piece. With that said, you can take a look at the image that Murata has released on Twitter here below.
Sine Murata first released his work, the One Punch Man series has become one of the most popular series’ in the world, with fans eagerly awaiting the second season of the franchise. After a quick studio and animation producer change, the series is back on track to starting up again next year, with all of the voice talent returning to be apart of Saitama’s next chapter of his story.
Meanwhile, One Piece is slowly coming to the end of the Whole Cake Island arc and will head to Wano soon, with the 20th-anniversary celebrations already announcing that a live-action adaptation is underway.
